2012 New Nissan Rogue

2012 Nissan Rogue priced from $21,530

Nissan has released the pricing for the 2012 Rogue, which is expected to soon arrive in dealerships throughout the country. The entry-level model, the Rogue S CVT FWD, comes with front-wheel-drive and is priced from $21,530. The range-topping Rogue SV CVT with the SL Package AWD is priced at $29,120. The available trim levels include the S and the superior SV.

Customers may also choose to add one of the three optional goodies pack, including the Special Edition, Premium Package and SL Package. The first one is new for 2012. It sells for $1200 and its new features include 16-inch alloy rims, XM Satellite Radio, and an audio system with a 4.3-inch display and USB connectivity.The changes for the 2012 model year include a Sport Mode switch, fresh alloy rims and Graphite Blue as a new exterior color. All of the models are powered by the 170 hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which is coupled to an xTronic CVT gearbox.

Bugatti Galibier on hold because it’s not too impressive!

Bugatti's highly speculated four-door super sedan has been put on hold since it isn’t an “argument stopper” yet, new Bugatti boss Wolfgang Durheimer was quoted by sources. The decision on what will become of the Galibier will be made later this year. The sources said that Durheimer had some very tricky questions to its engineering team about the model’s comfort, interior space and performance.

Originally, the proposal for the concept car was for it to target 800hp but Durheimer isn’t contented with this output. A source said that Durheimer doesn’t want to build this car until there’s no arguing that it is the best car in the world.

Durheimer had supposedly said that it doesn’t have enough power, space, and comfort, particularly in the rear, according to InsideLine. He said that tuners can provide 800hp and as it doesn’t want its car to be involved in talks related to tuners, the benchmarks have to be moved.[via : 4wheelsnews]

Bmw announces record sales in August 2011

The BMW Group has achieved a 7.4 percent increase in vehicle sales to 110,891 units in August -- a fresh record for the month despite the temporary drop in gains from the blistering pace seen so far this year. Group sales boss Ian Robertson stated that they anticipate an increase in their growth to double-digit figures in September. He further revealed that they are currently on track in achieving their goal of more than 1.6 million vehicle sales in 2011.

The August volumes were boosted by the more-than-double increase of BMW X3 mid-sized SUV and a 39 percent increase in 5-series sales. The core brand of BMW achieved sales of 94,882 units last month and was able to be on top of rival Audi, sales of which increased 17 percent to 94,100 in the same period. On the other hand, Mercedes achieved a sales gain of 7.9 percent to 87,384 units. Total sales of BMW Group units including the Mini and Rolls-Royce brands gained 16.8 percent from January to August this year to 1.07 million vehicles.

Also last month, the group's Mini brand sold 15,761 units, an increase of 5.2 percent. From January unit August, Mini sales have grown by 24.8 percent to 177,829 units, thanks to the launch of new models. In the United States, which is the company’s largest market, BMW Group car sales in August dropped marginally at 23,924 units, a decrease of 41 units from 2010 figures. However, in its home country Germany, which is BMW's second largest market, group sales leaped to 23,250 units, or 60.3 percent. On the contrary, sales in China, which is the company’s third biggest market, increased just 8.7 percent in the same period to 18,462 units.[via - 4wheelsnews]
