A total of 200 million euros ($281.7 million) in subsidies will be made available by the German government for "showcase" projects intended for the promotion of electric vehicles, according to German newspaper, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, in a report last Tuesday. The report stated further that those eligible to get the subsidy are the automakers, electricity providers, municipalities, and public transport companies. This German government subsidy will be meant to supplement a project that the private sector has already thrown its support to and has already gotten funding.[via 4wheelsnews]
