Infiniti officially announces the 2013 IPL G Convertible

Infiniti will add a new 2013 IPL G Convertible to its lineup of premium performance vehicles in spring next year. The Infiniti Performance Line, or IPL, doesn’t just look at engine power and acceleration. In fact, Infiniti asserts that its product design philosophy is focused on “total vehicle performance,” which consists of driving elements as well as exclusive exterior and interior features offered at attractive prices. Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore confirmed that the IPL G Convertible is on its way when he made an appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The IPL G Convertible Concept is on display here. The IPL G Convertible Concept is equipped with a series of equipment and modifications that are believed to carry over to the production IPL G Convertible. These include exclusive aerodynamic styling, an IPL-tuned V6, exhaust and suspension, a set of 19-inch IPL aluminum-alloy wheels, three-piece retractable hardtop and a distinctive red leather-appointed interior that’s set against a Malbec Black exterior.

The Infiniti G37 Convertible, which is powered by an advanced 3.7-liter V6 and given a three-piece power retractable hardtop, is the basis of the new IPL G Convertible. Poore said that just like other Infiniti models, the new IPL G Convertible will be different from its rivals that are more established. He added that the convertible is a “terrific addition to the Infiniti Performance Line” as the Infiniti G Convertible is taken to “an even higher level.” The production version is scheduled to make its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November. More information on the 2013 IPL G Convertible will be provided by then.[via : 4wheelsnews]
