Toyota tercel

Toyota tercel
Toyota has built a mass number of pretty decent cars for decades. This is one main reason why there are lots of people all over the world that have turned out to be Toyota fans. One of the cars that the Japanese car manufacturer has built is the Toyota Tercel. This is a car model that, just like other cars, has some advantages and disadvantages. It was announced by the manufacturer to be an entirely new model. However, as it turned out, the model looked very much alike its predecessor. The overall car length measuring 161.8 inches with a wheelbase of 93.7 inches confirmed this.
Toyota offers the Tercel in 3 options which are the standard model that comes with 2 doors, a DX version – which also comes with 2 doors yet features better equipments, and the DX sedan model that comes with 4 doors. The standard 2-door model of the Toyota Tercel can be mated to a manual transmission with 4 speed levels or an automatic transmission with 3 speed levels. The DX versions, on the other hand, can be purchased featuring either 5 speed levels of manual transmission or an automatic 4-speed transmission.
When it comes to the power the model hides under its hood, there is a dual-cam 4-cylinder engine for all versions. This engine is able to accommodate up to 1.5 liters of fuel. In addition to that, it is also capable of bursting out a maximum power output of 93 hp.
Then, when it comes to the safety measures, the Tercel is equipped with Antilock Braking System (ABS), side door beams, manual seatbelts with adjustable height and dual airbags. All these elements help make sure that the drivers and passengers alike will be protected inside the car should something unexpected take place.
Toyota was determined to build the Tercel to be the company’s least expensive car. Thus, the Japanese company has managed in such a way that the model consumes fuel pretty efficiently while still maintains its maneuverability.
However, consequently, there are quite a few problems that are inevitable. The front windows of the Toyota Tercel tend to be difficult to either open or close. In addition to that, there are barely enough spaces in the rear section. Unfortunately, those are not all the negative sides of the car yet. The antenna ground for the audio system is poor resulting in a static on the AM radio frequency. The thermostat is found to be defective causing the heater to perform poorly when it comes to climate control. Then, last but not least, when the Toyota Tercel travels at an altitude exceeding 5,900 feet, the check-engine indicator will keep on lighting. This often causes the owners of the model to end up having to buy a new computer unit for their car.
